If that description fits you, don’t worry about this article, you’re well on your way to taking your talents and expertise into making money online for your home based business. For the rest of us, however, this can be an excellent way to get started with a home based business.

Reselling Web Hosting sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is, but to make it simple, I’ll use a real estate comparison. You can either buy or rent a book about web hosting (you will get a lot of good information, it will cost less than a class, but you won’t have anyone to talk to about how to actually implement what you’ve learned). You can find people who do web hosting, or know about it, and talk to them about it. Several of the companies who allow reselling of web hosting, provide support for those who aren’t as savvy about web hosting.
Do Your Research!
Regardless of how much knowledge you have beforehand about the whole process, do your research! Not only will you want to know the basics of web hosting, but you’ll also want to find out about the companies and prices you will pay. You will also want to find out about how you will want to price your services and how you can maximize your offerings and profit. So, to begin, Google web hosting reselling and you’ll get a great list to sift through!
When you are researching the different companies who offer web hosting and allow reselling, pay attention to what they are offering. How much space do they offer in the package? How long are the terms? What customer service do they provide if their servers crash? Do they offer backup in case their servers do crash? Make sure that you choose a service that gives you plenty of bang for your buck and gives you the opportunity to expand should your clientele grow beyond what you originally envisioned.
Where Should I advertise?
You’ll want to advertise in several ways, but the main way is to have a professional looking website that you can direct people to. This website will need to include such information as your rates, what services you offer, your terms and conditions, a method of payment, and a way to contact you for support. Lots of companies offer professional templates and designs for your website, so you’ll want to look into those as well.
You will want to advertise your services anywhere you can think of. The main point is that there are people who want to increase access to them online and you can help them accomplish that feat. You should advertise on eBay, craigslist, your local classifieds (both online and in the newspaper), you could even use google adwords to advertise. There are plenty of ways for you to advertise so your home based business can make money!
