Scrapbooking For Money!
There’s funny clip from a favorite movie of mine. In the movie a mobster is put in the witness protection program and he and his family are put into a rather tight-knit, scrapbook-loving community. The ex-mobster and his family struggle acclimating to the new climate, he gets a job but struggles actually working, and they all develop a huge aversion to scrapbooking. At the end of the movie, when they have been moved to a new area, you find out that he has started his own scrapbooking company, enjoys it, and even runs a clean operation.
Scrapbooking is quite popular, and you can use it as a legitimate work from home business. If you enjoy it and are good at it, there are many different ways to make money with it. All you need to do is figure out which way would be most effective for you, do your homework about it, get started and make money!
First off, if you don’t like scrapbooking, then this isn’t for you. There are many other ideas for working from home, and you can find the one that fits you best and enjoy it. If you do enjoy scrapbooking, however, let’s talk.
Get involved in direct sales
There are scrapbook companies that allow you to make commissions on direct sales of their products. You can take orders in person and on the phone, or you can set up a Web site for order taking (or do both!). I have a list of direct sales scrapbooking companies and the hyperlinks to them.
Creative Memories: Primarily scrapbooking and supplies.
Memory Works: Traditional Paper Scrapbooking.
AC Bailey: Primarily scrapbooking and supplies.
Close to My Heart: Scrapbooking, card making, stamping and all supplies.
Stampin’ Up: Mostly stamping company, but also carry some scrapbooking supplies.
I Remember When: Recently merged with Xyron, many scrapbooking supplies offered.
My Creative Life: Mostly scrapbooking related.
Heritage Makers: All digital.
Cherish Bound: Mostly digital scrapbooking related.
Join an affiliate program
There are plenty of scrapbooking affiliate programs that you can join. What this means that you promote a scrapbooking company, and you are paid when people follow your home business link to the Web site. I recommend starting out using cj.com to find these companies. The earnings per click on each of these companies range from as low as $0.73 to $111.26. You can set up your own website and provide information regarding scrapbooking and using pictures of your own scrapbooking efforts, and at the same time, you can put up the ads for the affiliates and also promote the ads as well on articles on your site.
Create scrapbooks for others
If you have a knack for scrapbooking, you can sell your skills to people who do not have the time or inclination to make scrapbooks, but who want to preserve their memories in an attractive fashion. You can help with this, filling niche scrapbook markets for special occasions like weddings, travel and babies.
Another idea is to turn your craft skills and do other things as well. Making custom cards with rubber stamps and paper is relatively inexpensive. You can start a card club, where you purchase supplies and have people you know come over and make cards. Five dollars for ten custom cards is reasonable, and you can usually buy all of the supplies for much less, keeping the profit. One of my friends does this, and we all enjoy getting together once a month to have her help us make cute cards. It is a lot of fun, and she makes money!
So you can make money with your own home based business by working at home!

Heya! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no back up. Do you have any solutions to protect against hackers?
